GOECHALA TREK — THE PLAN

Day 1: New Jalpaiguri to Yuksom (5,840 ft)

As the sun rises over Siliguri, your journey begins — winding roads, emerald forests, and mountain whispers guiding you to Yuksom, the gateway to the Himalayas.
Yuksom, once the ancient capital of Sikkim, still breathes stories through its prayer flags and quiet lanes. You can stroll hand in hand through this serene village, visit the Coronation Throne of Norbugang, or simply rest and listen to the rhythm of the hills.
By evening, over snacks and laughter, the group gathers for a trek briefing — the night sky above Yuksom already feels like a promise of magic to come.

Day 2: Yuksom to Sachen (7,400 ft)

Today, you step into the heart of Khangchendzonga National Park, where every turn feels like a page from a fairy tale.
The trail winds past wooden bridges, gentle rivers, and mist-kissed forests. Birdsong and waterfalls accompany your every step. In 5–6 peaceful hours, you reach Sachen, a hidden forest camp where time slows down. The evening fills with the music of nature — the perfect lullaby under a thousand stars.

Day 3: Sachen to Tshoka (9,700 ft)

Crossing the mighty Prek Chu River, you’ll feel adventure and calm entwine — just like love and courage walking side by side.
After a rewarding climb, you’ll arrive at Tshoka, a tiny village that feels like it was painted by dreams. The wooden houses overlook the valley, and the distant peaks shimmer like silver in the twilight.
Visit the monastery, share stories, and let the mountain air make you forget time. Tonight, sleep under the stars with Pandim watching over you.

Day 4: Tshoka to Dzongri (13,400 ft)

The forest opens its heart today — blooming rhododendrons, soft moss underfoot, and clouds weaving through the trees.
Through Phedang Meadow and Deorali Top, every step reveals a grander view — the mighty Kanchenjunga and Kasturi ranges stand tall like guardians of your dream.
By afternoon, you reach Dzongri, where the air is thin but the world feels closer to heaven.

Day 5: Dzongri Top Summit (13,940 ft)

Wake before dawn. The world still sleeps, but your heart races.
As the first light touches the Himalayas, you reach Dzongri Top — the golden peaks of Kanchenjunga, Kabru, and Pandim glowing like embers in a divine fire.
It’s more than a view — it’s a feeling, a moment that stays forever. The sky turns gold, the wind whispers softly, and the mountains watch in silence.

Day 6: Dzongri to Thangsing (11,940 ft)

The trail flows gently down through meadows and across streams.
Each turn offers a postcard view — Mount Pandim standing proud, and the valley below painted in shades of peace.
By afternoon, you reach Thangsing, a meadow where the sky feels close enough to touch. Sit outside your tent, sip tea, and watch the colors fade into night.

Day 7: Thangsing to Goechala (16,207 ft) and back

You begin before midnight — stars guiding your way as you walk through moonlit silence.
By sunrise, you stand at Goechala Pass, where the world unfolds in breathtaking beauty. Kanchenjunga glows before you — majestic, golden, eternal.
This is the heart of the trek, the moment of awe that words can never hold. After taking it all in, you slowly descend, carrying a piece of the mountain in your soul.

Day 8: Thangsing to Tshoka (9,700 ft)

You retrace your path through rhododendron forests, waterfalls singing beside you.
It’s a day of reflection — where every leaf and breeze feels familiar, yet different. The air gets warmer, and laughter returns as the trails become gentler.

Day 9: Tshoka to Yuksom

The mountains bid you farewell. Back in Yuksom, it feels like coming home — tired feet, happy hearts, and stories you’ll tell for years.
You may visit the Dubdi Monastery, the oldest in Sikkim, or simply sit in silence and let gratitude fill your heart.

Day 10: Yuksom to Siliguri / New Jalpaiguri

The final descent of your journey — through winding roads and green valleys, carrying memories instead of backpacks.
Depending on traffic, you’ll reach Siliguri or New Jalpaiguri by evening. It’s not just the end of a trek — it’s the beginning of a lifelong romance with the mountains.
