⚠️ Important Footwear Note
Make sure to carry a pair of Crocs or lightweight sandals as a backup. In some emergency situations, your trekking shoes might fail to support you — especially if they get damaged or soaked. Crocs can be extremely useful in such cases, providing comfort and flexibility when needed most.
We have observed that many trekkers face issues with their shoes because they haven’t used them for several months before the trek. Due to thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) degradation, soles can crack or detach, turning the situation into a real challenge on the trail.
👉 Our recommendation:
- Do not use shoes that are more than 6–8 months old without testing them beforehand.
- Avoid brand-new shoes; instead, use a pair that’s well broken-in and comfortable for long walks.
- Always test your footwear on shorter hikes before the expedition.
Your shoes are your best companion on this trek — take good care in choosing and preparing them.
