Itinerary

DAY 1 NEW JALPAIGURI TO YUKSOM (5,840 ft)

If you start from Siliguri or New Jalpaiguri in the early morning, you will reach Yuksom in the afternoon.On the first day of the Goecha La Trek, Yuksom is a very beautiful place with many places to explore, you can do it if you want or take a rest.After evening trek briefing there will be snacks and final check-in after dinner and early sleep.

Coronation Throne of Norbugang: Coronation Throne of Norbugang, near Yuksom, is the place where first Chogyal of Sikkim was crowned. It carries a huge historical & religious importance.


DAY 2 YUKSOM TO SACHEN (7,400 ft)

Welcome to Khangchendzonga National Park

Khangchendzonga National Park, also known as the Kanchenjunga Biosphere Reserve, is a national park and a biosphere reserve in the Indian state of Sikkim. It was added on the UNESCO World Heritage List in July 2016, becoming India’s first “Mixed Heritage” site.

The trail initially passes through the village of Yuksom before entering the Kanchenjunga National Park. You will cross Rivers like Pa khola ,Chusey ,Menthok over a suspension bridges and begin to climb uphill through dense forests of montane and subalpine forests or alpine tundra.which has a few tea stalls and guesthouses.If you love birds or quiet nature or fountains then this will be a treat for you.In just 5-6 hours, you will reach Sachen, a forested camp site that is very peaceful and mesmerizing with the chirping of birds.


DAY 3 SACHEN TO TSHOKA (9,700 ft)

On the 2nd day of the Goecha La Trek, you will trek from Sachen to Tshoka. The distance of the trek is around 8 km and it takes about 4 to 5 hours to complete.

Today you will cross the largest suspension bridge of the trek over the Prek Chu River,On the 2nd day of the Goecha La Trek, you will trek from Sachen to Tshoka. The distance of the trek is around 8 km and it takes about 4 to 5 hours to complete.

Tshoka, which is a small village located at an altitude of 3,048 meters. Tshoka is surrounded by beautiful hills and is famous for its stunning views of Mount Pandim. You can rest and relax for the remainder of the day and explore the village. You can also visit the nearby Tshoka Monastery, which is a small and beautiful monastery with intricate murals and statues. Overnight stay will be in tents or a guesthouse in Tshoka.


DAY 4 TSHOKA TO DZONGRI (13,400 Ft

The trail climbs steeply through dense forests of rhododendrons and magnolia trees, You will also pass through a beautiful meadow called Phedang and after crossing Deorali top, mt Kachendjunga and Kasturi ranges can be seen from the ridge .We will reach Dzongri in the afternoon and enjoy the panoramic view of the surrounding area.


DAY 5 summit – Dzongri Top (11,940 Ft)

It is very necessary to rest today.It’s time to put an end to the fatigue of the previous day and move on to our main goal.Today at 4:00 AM we will summit Dzongri Top,which is also known as Dablagang.You will get lost in the beautiful scenery as you stroll over the ridge at dawn.Mt Kanchenjunga and others mountains like Talung Rathong Kabru N Koktang Simvo Kabru S Kabru Dome Kabru Forked Pandim Tenchenkhang will perform the world’s one of the best light and shadow show,Where clouds will dance, the sky will float in the play of colors, an united golden country will be seen at the top of Mt Kanchendzongha.We can guarantee it will be a day to remember for the rest of your life.



DAY 6 Dzongri to Thangsing (11,940 Ft)

We will reach Thangsing via Kokchuranag with Breathtaking mountain views with decent trails over Goechala Valley.

As you continue trekking, the trail will open up to stunning views of the surrounding peaks, including Mount Pandim and Mount Kabru. You will also pass through a beautiful valley and cross a few more small streams before reaching Thansing.


DAY 7 THANGSING TO Goechala (16,207 FT)

You will start early in the morning, around 12:00 or 1:00 AM, to reach Goecha La by sunrise. The distance of the trek is around 10 km and it takes about 7 to 8 hours to complete.After spending some time at Goecha La, steps back to Lamuney and then continue on to Thangsing.


DAY 8 thangsing TO TSHOKA (9,700 fT)

The trail descends through the beautiful rhododendron forests and crosses several small streams and waterfalls.The trail descends further to Tshoka, which is the last village on the trek. Overnight stay will be in tents in Tshoka.


DAY 9 TSHOKA TO YUKSOM

Upon reaching Yuksom, you can rest and relax for the remainder of the day. You can also explore the town and visit the historic Dubdi Monastery, which is the oldest monastery in Sikkim and dates back to the 18th century.


DAY 10 YUKSOM TO SILIGURI

It will take you at least 7-8 hours to reach Siliguri, if you go by share car or public transport then you will reach by 14:00.Which will drop you to Laddu Gopal Shop.If Team TTB organize the vehicle, it will leave within 6:00 AM,Which will try to reach you in New Jalapiguri by 18;00 hours.

NOTE : Everything to reach Siliguri or New Jalpaiguri depends on Sevok road traffic,Best you book any transport after 19.30 PM.
